Am I the only one that is falling out to love with XF collecting? I have not added to my collection for nearly 2 years, the new merchandise is unappealing and way too expensive.I look at it and think there are better things to spend my money on. Now if I am no longer adding to it is there ant point in keeping it all? It is and has been a big part of my life and my only claim to fame! I am seriously considering my options, does anyone else have any advice X-Donna

The same for everyone, no?
But you'll never find a good home for your collection. So keep it, even in a storage room. You're not going to put everything to trash.
Or give/sell it, piece by piece, knowing you'll never get your money back...
cheer up!

I've felt the same way off and on throughout the years and actually quite recently been contemplating downsizing the collection again. Ok, guess downsizing for me only means selling off a few things here and there. I don't think I can ever truly rid of anything until the day I'm forced to do so.
It's hard to walk away from it after so many years and having such a grand collection like yours is I'm sure even harder. However, if you feel yourself just wasting space storing and the love is lacking, maybe it's time to try downsizing.
Perhaps pick an area of your collection & sort through it and put aside your least favorite items. Items that you feel you can let go without regret. If you are already feel less of a connection then works even better. Take that pile and try to sell or give away. See how you feel then. If it goes well then continue on. I think maybe at the very least just keep what makes you happy and the pieces you treasure the most.
It's sad to think about never being able to recoup the money spent but clearing space does wonders for the mind. I'm trying to minimize my life and sadly my collection is the one area that is so hard for me to do. Especially because I am weak and continue to add with whatever catches my eye. Deleting the eBay app helps and I need to do that again!

Were you trying to rid as an entire lot? So you weren't serious about maybe slimming any of it?

Well, that would be quite the long shot to find a seller willing to pay for such a lot quite as large as the one you own. Unless you're selling for cheap Lol If I were serious about getting rid of anything breaking a large lot would be better off IMO Glad you're keeping it though!
